eSmart resources Term 4

We are becoming eSmart: teacher and parent induction resources

Getting support from your staff, student and parent cohorts is vital to ensure that eSmart practices are firmly embedded in  your school. We have developed a ‘Teacher induction to eSmart’ and a 'Parent induction to eSmart' resource that outlines the benefits seen by a thorough implementation process. This can be disseminated to your staff so eSmart is supported and understood internally, and also to your parent/carer cohort so eSmart behaviours are supported in the family home.

2021 eSmart scope and sequence: Victorian and Australian Curriculum

Our Australian and Victorian scope and sequence documents have now been refreshed and contain new activities for primary and secondary classes. They are an excellent resource for all schools to utilise when planning cyber safety curriculum content for students from Foundation to Year 10.

The separate primary and secondary documents are for the Victorian Scope and Sequence, while the Foundation to Year 10 document is for the Australian Curriculum.

New resource: the nine essential requirements for effective and meaningful participation

We are on a journey exploring how we can include children and young people’s voices more in the design phase of our work.

There are nine requirements outlined in the article to encourage purposeful design and student agency. This document is valuable for those interested in exploring how to involve children and young people more and increase participatory student voice.

It assists to think further about the role students can play in school systems, governance and design. This piece is specifically relevant to Domain 5 in the eSmart Framework and Focus Area 5 in eSmart Membership.
